The MedTech organization encompasses four Franchises (Ethicon, CSS, DPS, Vision), spanning four geographic regions (EMEA, LATAM, ASPAC and North America). The MedTech Supply Chain supports $23 billion USD in Sales, Global Net Inventory of $4 billion, and > 180,000 SKUs (2020 actuals)

We are searching for the best talent for Sr Director, Inventory Management Global Process, MedTech to be in US (Bridgewater, New Jersey); Switzerland (Zug); Belgium (Diegem) or Ireland (Cork) .

Purpose: This role is accountable to lead and improve the MedTech Inventory Management across the regional and global planning teams. This role is accountable to drive the continuation of the deployment of the inventory management blueprinted processes, inclusive of metrics and supporting RACIS deployment, across all MD franchises and regions.

The Global Leader – Inventory Management primary responsibility is to orchestrate the Inventory Governance and Optimization efforts across MedTech and drive actions to deliver against our MedTech target. The role is also accountable to ensure the validation and rollout of blueprinted processes taking a standardized / harmonized approach.

This leader will report to the MedTech Plan Strategy and Capabilities Leader.

You will be responsible for :

  • Developing, deploying and executing best in class Inventory Management processes, standardization and harmonization across MedTech.
  • Orchestrates the Inventory Governance and Optimization efforts across MedTech, drive and coordinate actions to deliver against our MedTech target.
  • Orchestrates and drives improvements in the E&O across Franchises & Regions In MedTech
  • Assuming ownership for all blueprint documents developed under the Inventory Management work stream (e.g. Inventory Management Process, Role & Responsibilities, Process Decomposition etc.). Acts as gatekeeper for changes to blueprint materials with clear traceability, justification and accountability for any changes made to documents. Continues to drive blueprinting activities for remaining L4s and L5s based on proposed sequencing.
  • Execution of best-in-class processes utilizing current and future system landscapes across MedTech
  • Providing active support for the deployment activities including problem solving with the deployment leads to address roadblocks and issues. Ensures knowledge transfer from blueprinting to deployment phase
  • Archiving all workstream related documents. Identifies which tools and documents should become part of the shared MedTech blueprint repository vs. franchise specific only
  • Change management and on-the-job capability building, ensures knowledge transfer from blueprinting to deployment phase utilizing the Role & Responsibilities and learnings from lead deployments.
  • Ensuring the balance between standardization versus harmonization with franchise & region-specific needs using a fact-based approach
  • Maintaining senior leader engagement in the Inventory Management process to ensure that decisions are taken within the process and progress is being delivered to plan with respect to deployment of Inventory Management blueprint. Assumes ownership of the future roadmap, deployment (lead/roll out) prioritization and tracking of the progress
  • Influencing large-scale global and regional teams to collect, analyze, consolidate, and report key data, improving the decision-making process to optimize inventory across the global business.
  • Providing oversight and influencing all ongoing and new MedTech Inventory Management focused projects to ensure alignment to the roadmap and the blueprint
  • Benchmarking best practices internal and external to J&J and incorporate/leverage those into the MedTech Inventory Management processes and systems architecture
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Master’s in engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations or equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • FPX PL or PMP Certification required, FPX SME preferred.
  • Greenbelt/Black Belt certification is a plus
  • APICS certification is recommended.
  • Other certifications in areas of expertise desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 15 years of related supply chain experience working in Supply Chain.
  • Strong background / experience in Inventory Management processes and systems is required (Entitlement Model, MEIO, SS Model). Demonstrated outstanding strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated hands-on project management/delivery.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills. Strength in interdependent partnering and team management. Experience in the Medical Device industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working Globally, strong team leadership skills for multi-regional teams.
  • Strong people management and development skills. 15+ years of experience required.
  • Experience working with virtual teams and matrix organizations.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions
  • Global experience (with multiple countries, regions) and associated cultural awareness required.

Travel Requirements: 20-30 % international travel

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $276,000. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar / performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
